Flowers are some of the most beautiful wonders of the world – they just add color to our life.
And along with adding color to our lives, they also give food to a lot of animals as well. As you may know, there are a ton of flowers in the world and they are present virtually everywhere – unless it’s a complete dessert or a frozen wasteland.
Needless to say, Nepal has its fair share of flowers as well and we have our fair share of Nepali names of flowers as well. Why are we saying that we have our fair share of Nepali names of flowers?
It is because there are just as many flowers that do not have a Nepali name as there are flowers that have a name in Nepali.
Nepali Names of flowers
As we mentioned, there are a lot of flowers that do not have a Nepali name. This is either because they were discovered after English became a global language or because they were not found in Nepal back in those days before English became the global language.
That being said, a lot of us don’t even know the Nepali names of flowers that do have it – mostly because we either never see it. So with this in mind, why not learn some of these Nepali Names of Flowers?

As you may have seen, some of these Nepali names are just Nepalified versions of their English counterpart. But they still are different enough to become a distinct name for Nepali. While this list of Nepali names of the flower is by far not the complete one, it does cover most of the flowers that you come in contact with and hear often. So this list should cover the majority of flowers that you hear in news and read in articles, enough for you to understand them.
